Servings 8

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 green onions finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 8 oz cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and well blended.
  • Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place 2 tablespoons of chicken mixture in the center of each triangle. Fold corners over filling and pinch to seal, forming a pillow shape.
  • Dip each pillow into melted butter, then coat with breadcrumbs. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened, 3–4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve warm chicken pillows drizzled with creamy Parmesan sauce. Garnish with parsley.
