Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Melt the butter and stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by vanilla extract.
  • Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips for added richness and texture.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with minimal crumbs.
  • While the cake is cooling, prepare the chocolate glaze by combining heavy cream and dark chocolate.
  • Once cooled, pour the chocolate glaze over the dessert and let it set before slicing.
